The Experience

Dynamo fans excitedly lined up outside of the WSS for a chance to meet midfielder Héctor Herrera, and get their jersey signed and custom monogrammed. The event had paletas being served outdoors, a photo booth for fans, a meet and greet station, and Apdat had the heat pressing warmed up to customize guests jersey’s with their names and numbers. Upon purchasing a jersey, guests were able to bring their item to our monogramming station where we applied letters and numbers that utilized the official World Cup font. Fans of all ages were thrilled to get the chance to watch the process of a one of a kind piece of merch get made.

The Result

This activation brought traffic and sales to the shoe store, a community moment for Dynamo fans as the season kicked off, and helped build excitement for Houston being an official host city of the World Cup. All of this cumulated with the unique experience of having your favorite team’s jersey customized with your name on the back. After the excitement people will remember WSS as the place to be and return to when you want great sports gear and stylish shoes.
