The Experience
Idahoan built a booth that felt less like a trade show stop and more like walking into someone’s home kitchen—if your home had giant instant potato cups for tables! Guests sampled hash browns with brisket and layered potato parfaits with pesto, sun-dried tomato, and truffle.
Right alongside the cooking, we ran a live heat pressing station where attendees customized red and natural tote bags with four playful decal options. The standouts? “Bruh” and “Powered by Potatoes.” Both hit immediately. People laughed, swapped stories, and more than a few parents admitted their kids only call them “bruh” now.
With the show floor packed full of samples, the tote bags quickly became more than just merch. They were useful, visible, and in constant motion as guests filled them up and carried them from booth to booth.
The Result
The activation landed because it met people where they were. Great food pulled them in, but the tote station kept them there. Customization added a moment of pause, something to do with their hands while conversations happened naturally around them. The humor in the designs broke the ice, making interactions feel easy instead of transactional.
By the end of the show, Idahoan’s totes were everywhere—looped over shoulders, stuffed with samples, and doubling as moving billboards across the floor. The combination of comfort-food energy and playful, practical merch gave the brand a presence that felt approachable, memorable, and hard to miss.
