The Experience
This outdoor mixer and opening reception for the 2026 ACP Conference was showcasing everything Texas. The party featured cowboys doing lasso tricks while others juggled and walked on stilts, musicians covering country favorites, Houston mascots like Shasta and Diesel, beer, barbecue and more—including a pop up hat patch bar delivered by APDAT. We had the presses hot, and fans ON, delivering customized dad hats with Houston themed patches to the worldwide guests and speakers the ACP conference brought in.
The Result
Guests left with a souvenir that called out the conference they were attending as well as our wonderful city. They got to interact with the process, have a little creativity in their choices, and the station gave an opportunity to linger and network while in line. Hats could be seen on heads and in hands everywhere as event carried on and afterwards at networking events hosted nearby. People are much more inclined to keep and wear an article of clothing that has a memory attached to it, like being a part of making it, vs. just swag that’s been handed out.
