The Experience
New neighborhood development ‘Two Step Farms’ hosted a Back to School kick off party to encourage residents with young families to socialize and get excited for the upcoming school year. This event was packed with activities including snow cone trucks, cold beers, a glow in the dark dance party and back to school freebies. The true highlight of the community was the goat farm, which Two Step Farm is known for. APDAT stood out as a fan favorite with 2 simultaneous activations—live heat pressing and live screen printing.
Kids customized their backpack with decals that spoke to their personality. Our design team assisted the client in coming up with a variety of designs that represented everyone, including the farm! We also offered custom letters for kids to spell out names, initials, and more.
Over at our live screen printing booth, families chose from 4 shirt colors and 5 designs. After hearing our client mention a glow-in-the-dark theme, we suggested glow-in-the-dark ink in addition to a standard white ink for the shirts. Kids immediately threw their shirt on to glow it up in the dance hall. Our design team also assisted in coming up with custom branded designs for the activation, which were all a hit!
The Result
Everyone walked away happy with a positive community building experience which reminded guests, ‘Wow I’m so glad I chose to move out here’. Kids had a useful item to use in the upcoming school year and parents were able to meet their neighbors. Everyone who attended was engaged in the process of having their item printed and it kept the spirits and energy high to watch their item be printed and ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ at the final results.
